Kylie Jenner's lip injections motivate New York teens

They’re not old enough to put a beer bottle to their lips — but injections are another story.

One day after Kylie Jenner outed her pout and admitted she got lip enhancement injections when she was 17, New York teens said they’ve done it, too — and would again.

“I disliked my lips and makeup was just not cutting it,” says 19-year-old Upper East Sider Sara Lewis, who got injections after “seeing celebrities like the Kardashians with full lips.”

Lewis said her parents made her wait until she was 18 — but the Hunter College nursing student has continued the treatment, getting her latest lip booster six months ago.

She’s hardly alone in signing up for the $500 shots. There have been 20 million injections of Restylane — one of the most popular enhancement gels — since it was approved by the FDA 20 years ago. Thousands more opt for other forms of lip augmentation, such as collagen injections, according to BeautyResearch.com.

But now lip injections are the gateway cosmetic procedure. A new study shows that 36% of young women aged 18 to 26 want lip injections before any other enhancement.
